Download email with Google Takeout
First, you need to get everything in your Gmail account through Google Takeout. Visit page web Google Takeout and sign in with your Google account.
Choose what you want to download from Gmail here. By default, all data associated with your Google account will be selected.
To download only your Gmail, click “Deselect all” at the top of the page. Scroll down and enable the checkbox next to “Mail” to select only Gmail your.
Note: Option “Mail” contains all the emails and attachments in your Gmail account. To download other relevant data such as Contacts, Tasks, Calendar Events, or Hangouts chat history, select the other appropriate options from the list.
Once you have selected what you want to download, scroll down and click the “Next Step“.
Do the rest of the process, choose any option you like and click the “Create export.“. Depending on the size of your archive, it may take some time for Google to create the archive for you to download. You will have one week to download your email archive once it is created.
The Google Takeout file will be in the form of a .zip archive. The file you download will have a name like “takeout- [abcxyz].zip”.
Extract the contents of the Google Takeout file using your decompressor. For example, on Windows 10, you can simply right-click on the ZIP file, select “Extract All” and click the “Extract” button.
You will get a folder called “Takeout”. Tracing inside the folder, you will find a “Mail” folder containing all your Gmail emails in MBOX format.
