Download emails using Google Takeout
First, you need to download everything in your Gmail account through Google Takeout. Visit the page Google Takeout website and sign in with your Google account.
Choose what you want to download from Gmail here. By default, all data associated with your Google account will be selected.
To download just your Gmail, click “Deselect all” at the top of the page. Scroll down and enable the checkbox next to “Mail” to indicate select Gmail your.
Note: Options “Mail” contains all the emails and attachments in your Gmail account. To download other related data such as Contacts, Tasks, Calendar Events or Hangouts chat history, select other appropriate options in the list.

The Google Takeout file will be in .zip compressed file format. The file you download will have a name like “takeout- [abcxyz].zip”.
Extract the contents of the Google Takeout file using your extractor. For example, on Windows 10, you can simply right-click the ZIP file, select “Extract All,” and click the “Extract” button.
You will get a folder named “Takeout”. Navigating inside the folder, you will find the “Mail” folder containing all your Gmail emails in MBOX format.
