Top OTT applications texting instead of telegram
Messenger
Messenger is a messaging app developed by Facebook (now meta), worthy of being the top OTT applications that allow users to text, call, call for free video calls via the Internet. This application is built in Facebook or can be downloaded as a separate application.
Advantage: Easy connection with friends on Facebook, friendly interface, easy to use, many features such as sending photos, videos, voice messages, calls/video calls, stickers, group chat support, secret conversation.
Disadvantages: Sometimes connecting errors, affecting user experience. Can consume a lot of battery capacity.
Zalo
Zalo is a free messaging, calling and video calling app in Vietnam, developed by VNG Corporation.

Referring to the top OTT applications, it is impossible not to remind Wechat as a popular messaging and social networking app in China, owned by Tencent.

Signal
Signal is an open source messaging app, focusing on security and privacy. Signal ranks top OTT applications for message security and privacy.
Advantage: End encryption for all conversations, no user data, open source.
Disadvantages: Simple interface, lack of some entertainment features, not popular in Vietnam.
Threema
Threema is an application from Switzerland, prominent with the policy of not collecting user data, no request for registration by phone number or email. This application is aimed at absolute privacy and is often selected by non -governmental organizations, journalists, or businesses.
Advantage: The prominent Threema is the server located in Switzerland – a country with a strict personal data protection law – along with the application of no Metadata without saving.
Disadvantages: As a free Threema, users have to buy applications for use, and the young user community makes it difficult to find friends sometimes.
