You need to be oriented about using WordPress before you start creating a Website. There are 2 different ways to create a Website with WordPress:
WordPress.com is the hosted version. Which means your website runs on WordPress servers. You can access WordPres.com to create your own Website with just a few clicks. No need to buy hosting or domain.
There are a few limitations to WordPress.com. You will not have access to existing themes. And you cannot use WordPress plugins. There is also a small fee if you want to use your own domain name.
WordPress.org is the self-hosted version. That is, you will download the WordPress source code yourself, then upload it to your hosting and configure it to your liking. When you use this version, you have full control over the functional design of the website.
