There are rumors that Windows 10 operating system will have major changes, but we are still a few months away from seeing those changes firsthand.
According to reports and references found in preview builds, Microsoft is currently working on the Windows 10 21H1, Windows 10X and Windows 10 21H2 “Sun Valley” update.
Windows 10 21H1
Windows 10 version 21H1, also known as the ‘Iron’ update, was originally supposed to be the first major update in spring 2021, but plans have reportedly changed once Microsoft decides focus on Windows 10X for single-screen devices.
Rumor has it that Microsoft will probably only release a feature update in 2021 to make room for Windows 10X, a modular version of Windows 10.
If this rumor is correct, we could see Windows 10X in the first half of 2021 and then Windows 10 21H1/21H2.
It is also possible that Microsoft will choose to skip the 21H1 feature update and release an update with major user interface improvements.
In the last week of October, Microsoft released its first beta build from a new fork codenamed ‘Iron’ (Fe), but Microsoft officials are not yet ready to reveal if will there be a release of Windows 10 21H1 or not.

Windows 10 21H2 “Sun Valley” Upgrade
With the Windows 10 21H2 update, Microsoft is planning to change the operating system with an upgrade to the Windows user interface, including Action Center, File Explorer, Taskbar and Start Menu (wait for it).
