Instructions for creating Localhost directly on your computer with Ampps

Hi guys, as you all know localhost is a place to store web code to build a website. If you are coding a website in html, css, java, … and want to test it before uploading to the real host, below I will show you how to use your computer as a server. virtual localhost to test the code.

The software I use here is called Ampps. This software is quite good and popular with the web-developer. Normally you can also use Xampp but i feel Ampps better and more beautiful, easier to use.

• You download Ampps at the homepage.
• Ampps supports both Windows, Mac and Linux.

What operating system do you use, please download that installation!

Installation Instructions

Before installing, you must allow Ampps Full permission to change the settings File hosts of windows.

You go to the hosts file by following the path C:\Windows\system32\drive\etc\hosts

Right click and select Properties as in the photo below.

Select Tab security (1) -> click Edit (2)
– Select item Users (…) and check in Full control as shown below to allow full editing rights.
– India Apply and OK to change settings.

Ampps Settings

You Open file and install computer as usual.

After the installation is complete, open Ampps and you will have the interface as below.

• You will see the button Start Loss of color means Ampps has running on your machine.
• If you want to turn off ampps and stop, press Stop and exit the program

Use

To open the interface Localhost of Ampps you press the yes button house icon.

Or go to your browser and type: http://localhost/ampps

You add a domain name into Ampps to use for code testing

Press Add Domain as below.

You set the domain name you want. Because this is a virtual domain name only you use so you can put anything and not coincide with the real domain name.

Here I put it as Anonyviet.fucking

Please read carefully in the picture, don’t miss the step!!!

If the table shows Notification the following means the domain name has been created.

Then I open the browser and go to the page anonyviet.fucking created.

So where to upload web code?

You return to the page localhost by Ammps: localhost/ampps

Enter domain manager to find the place upload web code that you want to test.

It is done. You can create your own virtual host to test the web code before publishing it on the internet.
