Google’s New AI Courses
In Google posts, they announced that they will be releasing 7 new AI courses completely free of charge, and as I just checked, they have added 3 more courses to this Learning Path. The courses will focus on the difference between AI and Machine Learning, an introduction to Google’s Machine Learning Vertex AI creation platform, and the ethical codes of responsible AI development.
Although the terms ML and AI are often used together, there are many differences between the two. AI is a broad concept that includes machine learning to perform tasks typically associated with human intelligence, such as decision making and interaction with language. ML is a smaller branch of AI dedicated to taking data from the past and training algorithms to create models that can perform highly complex tasks without specific programming. It’s the basis for most forms of AI that people interact with, like virtual assistants, recommendation forms, and chatbots.
The purpose of these courses is still to help people have the most general overview of AI. So these courses will be suitable for those who do not know anything or are looking to learn about AI but do not know where to start. Out of the 10 courses offered by Google, about 5 require some knowledge of Python and Machine Learning. When you complete a course, you will earn 1 skill badges (skill badges) as shown below, it is similar to a certificate but at a slightly lower level.
