How to find free courses on Coursera

I know that there are many of you who are interested in taking courses on Coursera. Partly because the platform has a lot of quality courses and when you finish, you will also be awarded a certificate. But often these courses are very expensive, ranging from $50 to $100. I was the same before, but since I learned about the Financial Aid program, I don’t need to spend a single dollar to study the course. In this article, I will show you how to get a free course on Coursera using Financial Aid.

What is Coursera?

Coursera is an online learning platform with thousands of courses from large corporations and organizations such as Google, IBM, RedHat, etc. It is similar to Udemy, another famous learning platform.

But different in that, Coursera is more known for the quality and variety of courses. That is why Coursera is highly appreciated by the community and above all, every time you complete a course on Coursera, you will receive a corresponding certificate. This will be a very bright plus when you add to your CV or beautify your profile, employers will appreciate these certificates.

What is Financial Aid?

Financial Aid is a financial aid scholarship program, for those who cannot afford the course. This program will help you learn more courses at no cost. As far as I know, this is a program supported by Coursera to help users learn more new knowledge and improve their skills for free.

For those of you who are on a tight budget (like students, the price range for a course is quite expensive) but still want to receive courses and certificates on Coursera, then Financial Aid is the choice for you.

Note: You can only register for 10 courses simultaneously with Financial Aid. If you want to register more, you must complete the previously registered courses to be approved.

I have successfully registered for a few courses on Coursera with Financial Aid. Because I haven’t finished my studies, I can’t post the certificate for you to see. In addition to Financial Aid, you can still apply for the government’s NIC (Digital Talent Development Scholarship) program. here again.

Step 1: You are logged in Coursera website and select the course you want to register for.

Step 2: Press “Financial Aid available”.

Step 3: Press “Continue to the application”.

Step 4: Here, just leave the information like in the picture below. In section “Reason you applied for aid” Please copy the answer below. Remember to change the information you put in quotes ” ” to suit the course you choose. When done, press next.

Step 5: On the next page, you set your payout to $30. In the section “How will your selected course help with your goals?” then you copy the answer below and replace the words in quotes to suit yourself. When done, press Review.

I have a solid background in “math and algorithms and problem-solving skills”, so i eager to learn “Cybersecurity Roles, Processes & Operating System Security” and that’s the course the first step to me to making good projects that help the humanity for an easy life and solve the big problem. My main career goal is to learn every day, i really want to learn and to progress in my career. “Programming” requires constant learning and improving, taking a course can help me advance in my knowledge.

I plan on gaining additional skills by taking related classes and continuing my with a variety of professional associations and I noticed that there a lot of company in internship and jobs in the related filled, and I would be interested in taking it and improving my self to be on of the pioneer of “Cybersecurity”. There are many opportunities in this field that the candidate can join but must have good knowledge to join these opportunities, so I see that this course with good tutorials and exercises to join me in the world’s largest companies and creativity in this area.
