In Vietnam, Google Pixel phones often have the VoLTE option disabled. Therefore, users cannot make calls via the 4G network. This becomes more urgent when Vietnam has a specific plan to stop 2G and 3G waves. After the wave is turned off, devices that do not support VoLTE will not be able to make calls and may become “bricks”. Here is how Enable VoLTE on Google Pixel.

Why do you need to enable VoLTE?
VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is a technology that allows making voice calls over 4G networks, providing better sound quality, faster connections and more modern features than traditional voice calling technology.
With the planned shutdown of 2G and 3G in Vietnam, enabling VoLTE becomes extremely important. If your device does not support VoLTE, you will not be able to make calls after the 2G and 3G networks are turned off.

Some important notes
- First of all, this guide only applies to Google Pixel devices using the Tensor chipset (starting with the Pixel 6 and above).
- To make calls on the 4G network, users need a SIM card from a network operator that supports VoLTE. Currently, major networks such as Viettel and VinaPhone have provided this service.
- Since Google Pixel is not officially distributed in Vietnam, VoLTE calls may be unstable or encounter technical errors.
- The instructions below are for macOS, but the steps are similar for Windows.
