How to create 3D photos online posted on Facebook
Method 1: Use a phone with Dual Camera
You will need an iPhone with a dual camera. For example, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, or XS Max. The phones also have dual cameras like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and LG V35 ThinQ. But Facebook says support is not yet available for those devices.
How to post 3D photos on Facebook without Photoshop
Create a new status using the Facebook app on your phone. Then tap the icon with three dots to see the post options. From there, tap the 3D photo to access the Portrait folder on iPhone, then select the photo and preview it.
Finally, add a few lines to share your mood and click Post.
Tips and tricks for 3D photography
Here are a few things to consider when creating and sharing 3D photos:
- You’ll get the best results if the main subject is 3-4 meters away.
- Capture scenes with multiple layers of depth (like your family in a field of flowers).
- Shoot subjects with contrasting colors (avoid a blue truck, in front of a blue wall).
- Capture subjects that have some textured edges and are not too shiny.
- Avoid transparent objects like clear plastic or glass, as the depth sensors can detect them.

If you are a person who is not familiar with Photoshop You can easily create 3D images online. Just have a sample photo and follow the instructions below:
