Numbering documents at the top, removing the first page is a new rule in the presentation of documents in 2020. Text format is always a mandatory rule for any published document. The correct presentation of the text will increase the validity of the text. Recently, Decree 30/2020/ND-CP on clerical work issued has changed some types of presentation, including changes in the number of pages of documents.

Previously, for government documents, the page number was presented in the lower right corner of the page (footer). Now, for Decree 30/2020/ND-CP, the page numbers are shown at the top of the page (header) and centered, expressed in Arabic numerals, font size 13-14, vertical font and no show page number on first page.
In this article, I will show you how to number the pages at the top of the page, center and remove the first page to comply with Decree 30/2020/ND-CP. So according to the Decree, we have to number the pages starting from Page 2 and number 2.
How to number text pages on top, skip the first page
First you need to open the software Microsoft Word and complete text editing. Then perform the steps below:
Step 1: After you have finished editing the text (text from 2 pages or more). You click on the Insert Menu -> Page Number -> Top of Page -> select the second box the number 1 is centered.
After doing step 1 you will see that all the Pages of the document are numbered. To delete the page number on the first page, continue with step 2.
Step 2: You go to Menu Layout -> bottom corner Page Setup there is an arrow, tap it.
Step 3: In the dialog box Page Setupselect via Layout tab. In section Headers and footers-> Check the box Diffrent first page. Press OK to complete
Now go back to the text, you will see the page number is numbered on top, centered starting from page 2. The first page will have no page number.
Next, double click on the number 2 of the Page, and highlight and select Font, font style, format according to the regulations: size 13-14, vertical text.
