Numbering the document pages at the top, leaving out the first page, is a new regulation in document presentation in 2020. Document format is always a mandatory regulation for any issued official dispatch. Presenting the text in the correct format will increase the validity of the text. Recently, Decree 30/2020/ND-CP on clerical work was issued to change some presentation styles, including changes to document page numbering.

Previously, for government documents, page numbers were presented in the lower right corner of the page (footer). Now, for Decree 30/2020/ND-CP, the page number is presented at the top of the page (header) and centered, expressed in Arabic numerals, font size 13 to 14, vertical font and not Displays the page number on the first page.
In this article, I will show you how to number pages at the top of the page, center them, and remove the first page to comply with Decree 30/2020/ND-CP. So according to the Decree, we must number the pages starting from Page 2 and be number 2.
How to number text pages at the top, omitting the first page
First you need to open the software Microsoft Word and draft and complete the document. Then do the steps below:
Step 1: After completing the text editing (text of 2 pages or more). Click on Insert Menu -> Page Number -> Top of Page -> select the 2nd box Number 1 is centered.
After performing step 1, you will see that all pages of the document are numbered. To delete the page number on the first page, continue with step 2.
Step 2: You go to Menu Layout -> bottom corner Page Setup There is an arrow, click on it.
Step 3: In the dialog box Page Setupselect through Layout tab. In section Headers and footers-> Check the box Diffrent first page. Press OK to complete
Now go back to the document, you will see the page number typed at the top, centered starting from page number 2. The first page will not have a page number.
Next, double click on number 2 of the Page, highlight it and select Font, font style, and format according to regulations: size 13-14, vertical text.
