Recently, when looking around major Fanpages, you will see some Comments with Hard Fan badges, Stars, Sharers… on the account name. These are called Top Fan badges, applied by Facebook to Pages specializing in Video.

This badge is for people who have Liked the page and are active on the Page. If you are the owner of a Page about video sharing or Streamer, please turn on this feature. You will know who your regular fans are.
By default, the Page will not have the Badge feature enabled, and Commenters will not automatically get the Badge. The instructions below will help you turn on the Top Fan Badge feature on your Page and how to get the Top Fan Badge when you comment.
Turn on Badge mode on Facebook Page
This action will be performed by the Page Admin. Only Pages with the Badge feature enabled will have a Hard Fan badge.
The Hard Fan badge is reserved for Pages with Video sharing content. But any page can enable Badge mode for members, as long as the following conditions are met:
- There are more than 10,000 page Likes or followers.
- Active for at least 28 days.
- Change page to topic Video template
Step 1: Convert Page to Video Template
- Access your Page, select the Settings menu.
- In the left Menu bar, select Templates and tabs.
- In the Templates section, click Edit.
- Select the Video Page template.
Step 2: Turn on Top Fan Badges
Next, go to Settings Menu, select Facebook Badges. In the right pane Enable Hard Fan badge
Thus, your Page can display Badges for members who actively interact with your Page.
Anyone can receive the Top Fan Badge if they are active on the site. Activities that earn points to earn badges are: watching videos, liking or reacting to videos, commenting, and sharing videos. Those who qualify, will have a badge next to their name. The list of die-hard fans is also displayed publicly in the Community tab.
You need to do the following steps to qualify for the badge:
Step 1: Like Page
Step 2: Select Following in there:
- In your news feed: See first.
- Notifications: On (Featured Posts)
Step 3: Like, comment, and actively share the Videos on the Page
Within 1 week, if your activity is regular on the Page, you will have ✪ Hard fan next to my name. This is the result of regular interaction on Page. To get the fastest fan badge, please like, comment, and share as soon as a Video has just been posted on the Page or the streamer has just gone live.
Meaning of some badges:
- Hard fans: Be a member who regularly Likes, comments, and shares videos on the Page.
- Stars: is the member who just sent you SAO (money) in that video.
- Sharers: is someone who often shares videos on Page.
How to display the Hard Fan badge without interaction
