Ghunt V2 is an open source OSINT software that helps you track down Gmail account owners. I introduced myself before Gunt V1 with advanced features such as finding information about Email, Youtube or other Google services. In this article, I will show you how to install Ghunt V2 with many features and easier to use than the first version.

Features marked with (P) require the target account to have the default setting of “Allow the people you share content with to download your photos and videos” on Google AlbumArchive or if the target has used Picasa linked to their Google account.
Items marked (M) requires Google Maps reviews of the target to be public (by default).
People marked with (C) requires the user to make Google Calendar public (closed by default).
People marked with (A) requires the user to set additional information on profile with the “Anyone” privacy option enabled.
How to install Gunt Ver 2
With the new version, Ghunt V2 can now log in easily with Exntesion on Chrome or Firefox. Or if you are a Kali Linux user, use the following commands:
In the Terminal window, type the following commands:
- Set Password for User:
sudo passwd
- Switch to root user:
sudo su
Update Python Version 3.10: sudo apt-get install python3.10
Next, install gunt v2 with the following commands:
git clone https://github.com/mxrch/GHunt.git python3 setup.py install
To start Ghunt V2 you use the command: ghunt login
Next choose the number method 2 to login with base64 encoded Cookie
Now to get Cookies, you install the Ghunt Companion Extension in your Web browser.
Click Synchronize to Ghunt
Then you need to log in to any Gmail account, you can create a new Gmail or use your existing Gmail. After logging in, there will be a button to get Cookie on the screen, select the button Launch belong to Method 2.
Now that the Cookie has been saved to the clipboard, switch to the Kali Linux Terminal and paste the Cookie in:
If you see Connected Account, you have successfully logged into GHunt V2.
How to use Ghunt V2 to find the owner of Gmail and other Google accounts
Now we will use GHunt V2 to retrieve information of any person knowing their Gmail. To start OSINT tracing Gmail, execute the following command:
ghunt email tên-email-cần-truy-vết
Eg:
ghunt email [email protected]
And the result will be like this:
You will see Avatar, home address, Review related to this Email…. Now you’ve gathered quite a bit of public information from this person.
Depending on the Gmail account you’re looking for has a subscription to many Google-related services, Ghunt v2 will help you figure out what information you can find. You should also apply many methods OSINT other to be able to find more information about the object you want to search.
