So a playground of brothers playing the “Black” system is about to collapse. Pompompurin, one of the founding members of the BreachForums forum, was arrested last week in New York.
According to an affidavit filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the suspect identified himself as Conor Brian Fitzpatrick and admit to being the owner of the BreachForums website.
Fitzpatrick has been charged with conspiring to solicit individuals for the purpose of selling unauthorized access devices. The young man was released a day later on a $300,000 bond signed by his parents and is scheduled to appear before the Eastern District Court of Virginia on March 24, 2023.
In addition to being barred from obtaining a passport or other international travel document, Fitzpatrick is also restricted from contacting his accomplices and using drugs or other controlled substances unless prescribed by a doctor.
BreachForums emerged last year, after FBI has taken control of RaidForums in March 2022.
“In the introduction to the forum, ‘pompompurin’ claimed they created BreachForums as an alternative to RaidForums but it ‘doesn’t have any affiliation with RaidForums’. Some former members of RaidForums have also moved their living areas to BreachForums, others have not yet appeared again.
Since then, this forum has been seen as a bustling place to buy, sell and share hacked databases of some companies and governments, often including sensitive personal information.
After Fitzpatrick was arrested, another account named Baphomet said it was taking control of the site, and said there was no evidence of a “forum shutdown”. However, just posted the article yesterday, today the link of https://breached.vc/ there was a 502 error.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Cyber Police announced the arrest of a 25-year-old programmer who created a remote access trojan that infected more than 10,000 computers under the guise of the free Game application.
