Is your Windows 10 computer slow to start? Try enabling the Fast Startup feature built into Microsoft’s operating system to optimize the device startup speed.
By default, Windows 10 computers will have the Fast Startup feature enabled by default, but if you upgrade from an older version of Windows, this feature will be turned off by default.
Why does Fast Startup help Windows 10 start up faster? If this feature is enabled, after shutdown, instead of the necessary data information saved in RAM, Windows will save to the hiberfile. Then when rebooting the device just download the information directly from the file, reducing boot time.
Steps to enable Fast Startup.
Step 1: On your computer, go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Power Options.
Step 2: In the Power Options window, look on the left hand side > select “Choose what the power buttons do”
Step 3: Then select “Change settings that are currently unavailable”
Step 4: You scroll down, find the item Shutdown settings > accumulate “Turn on fast startup (recommended)” to enable the feature > click Save changes.
