Kali Linux Officially released with great change. Now you can Download Kali Linux 2020.1 to install or use Live CD/VMWare. In this release, Kali Linux has the following versions:

- Non-Root by default (doesn’t use root user)

Major Changes in Kali Linux 2020.1
Do not use User Root
A very important note in Kali Linux 2020.1 version is that the login account has changed. Previously, the default user and password was root/toor. But for Kali Linux 2020.1 login account now changed to:
- User: kali
- Password: kali
According to Kali Linux’s explanation, not using the root user is to reduce the burden on developers in checking for errors of this operating system. Currently, software and tools running on Kali Linux do not need Root privileges to work.
If you really don’t care about security and if you like the old version, you can install kali-grant-root and use the commandsudo dpkg-reconfigure kali-grant-root to configure root privileges without Password.
New improvements
Setup file – The developer decided to completely refactor and simplify the Kali Linux 2020 installation files. These changes will allow easier selection of the right Image for you to download, while increasing installation flexibility and further reducing download sizes. There will now be an installed version, a live version without installation, and an over-the-air version, allowing for easier selection of the right version for each user while increasing flexibility. There will be no separate versions for every desktop environment.
Nethunter changes – Kali’s mobile pentesting platform. The publisher no longer requires users to root their phones to use Kali Nethunter. Nethunter allows attaching an Android device with an HDMI cable along with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to create a phone that can use Kali Linux 2020.1.
New Packages – Although Kali is a growing distribution and therefore users do not need to wait for the next release, for the update, the developer has added several new tools since Kali 2019.4, including “cloud” -enum”,”emailharvester”, “phpggc”, “sherlock”,”splinter”.
Xfce Desktop – A lightweight Desktop environment. Performance and user experience will be improved if you have a low-end computer.
PowerShell support – you can now execute PowerShell scripts directly on Kali.
Brand new interface
The design of Kali Linux 2020.1 also completely changed in terms of ICON and theme, Shell… To refresh Desktop Gnome, Kali brings Dark Mode/Light Mode to Shell’s theme along with very delicate Desktop interfaces.
Flat-Remix Icons also added 85 new icons and 16 potassium category icons. New alternative menu icon.
Kali-Undercover designed exactly like Windows 10. Window titles, ICON, Terminal are exactly the same.
Kali-Undercove is an interface designed for people who work in public or office environments and don’t want people to find out that you’re using Kali Linux. This is Kali Linux’s Windows 10 interface to fool others when they look at your screen.
Download Kali Linux 2020.1
Kali Linux version 2020.1 has been released. Now you can Download the installation file or files run directly on CD/USB. AnonyViet has tested the VMWare version and feels very satisfied. Very nice interface, rich tools.
You can optionally install the clean version without tools or integrate the built-in Hack tools. This helps to avoid getting confused with Hack Tools that you are not using, avoiding wasting hard drive.
