Freeform gradient:

Illustrator 2019 Portable Full Key now offers a new gradient type called Freeform, which provides new color blending capabilities to create richer gradients and more natural-looking optics. Freeform gradient gives you the flexibility to create color stops at any position in your object. You can add, move, and change the color of color stops to seamlessly apply gradients to objects. Creating a freestanding gradient is a simple and effective way to create smooth gradations

The Freeform gradient type can be applied in two modes:

Point: Use this mode to make a color stop as an independent point in the object
Line: Use this mode to create color stops on a line segment in the object

Global editing mode

Illustrator now offers a new Global Edit option. This feature comes in handy in situations when multiple copies of an object, such as a logo, are present in documents. To manually edit all such objects one by one can be difficult and time consuming task, and can lead to errors. Global Edit option makes it simple and easy to edit them globally. You can also use this option to edit similar groups

Visual font browser:

The Characters panel now includes the following new and enhanced options:

A new Find More tab is provided to let you browse thousands of fonts from hundreds of mints from within Illustrator, activate them instantly, and use them in your artwork. Activated fonts are available for use in all Creative Cloud apps
More sample text options are now available in the drop-down list. You can also select a text on the drawing to use as a sample text. You can control the size of the sample text by selecting the template text size options
The Show Similar Fonts and Add to Favorites options are available inline for all fonts. They are displayed when you hover over a font
The Font Classification filter is now a drop-down list showing a sample of the font types, instead of just the font type name
Recently added Apply filter is provided to filter all fonts added in the last 30 days

Customizable toolbars:

Illustrator currently offers two toolbars – Basic and Advanced. The basic toolbar contains a set of tools commonly used while creating illustrations. All other tools are available in a toolbar drawer which you can open by clicking the Edit Toolbar (Towel) button at the bottom of the toolbar
The Advanced toolbar is a full toolbar that you can open by choosing Windows > Toolbars > Advanced or selecting Advanced in the drawer drop-down menu.
You can also create your own custom toolbars. In any toolbar you can add, remove, group or rearrange the tools as per your requirement.

Slideshow mode:

You can now display the current Illustrator document in full-screen presentation mode. In this mode, the application menu, panels, guides, grids, and selections are hidden. This is a non-editable mode in which you can only view and cycle through the artboard using the arrow keys. Use this mode to present your design ideas

View mode:

Illustrator now offers a new view called Trim View, which is useful for previewing how a design would look without guides, grids, or elements that extend beyond the edges of the drawing. In this mode, any artwork outside of the artboard is clipped, and all non-printing objects on the canvas, such as grids and guides, are hidden. You can continue to create and edit your artwork in this mode

Scalable UI:

You can now scale Illustrator’s UI based on screen resolution. When running Illustrator with the updated preference settings, it determines the screen resolution and adjusts the application scaling factor accordingly. You can scale the UI on your screen using the UI options dialog

Faster zoom:

Overall zoom performance in Illustrator has been significantly improved. For complex artwork, a temporary raster is now used to allow for a faster zooming and zooming experience

Crop content:

(Only available on 64-bit Windows and macOS) When you select the Crop Image option to crop an image on the artboard, Illustrator will now identify the visually meaningful parts of the selected image. A default crop box is then displayed based on this defined portion of the image. You can adjust the size of this crop box as needed. Once you’re done, you can click Apply in the Properties panel or press Enter (Windows) or Back (macOS) to crop the image

Preview actual size:

When you choose View > Actual Size, Illustrator will now set the actual size of the visible elements regardless of your screen size and resolution. When you perform 100% zoom on a document, the size of every object in the document is the actual representation of the object’s physical size. For example, if you open a new A4 sized artboard and click Actual size, the artboard size is changed to an actual A4 sheet

Warp Pupp Enhancement:

Illustrator 2019 now identifies the best areas to transform your artwork and automatically adds pins to the artwork. You can also add or remove pins if you want. This feature is enabled by default when the Puppet Warp tool is selected. To disable this, uncheck the Enable content-aware software defaults option by selecting Edit > Preferences > General

Main screen:

When you launch Illustrator, it will now display the Home screen, which includes the following:
A wide range of tutorials to help you quickly learn and understand concepts, workflows, tips and tricks
Popular presets help you get started with new documents quickly
View and access your recent documents
Create a new button to create a new document and an Open button to open an existing document

In previous versions of Illustrator, when you viewed your artwork as a border or path, Illustrator automatically switched from GPU Preview mode to CPU Preview mode.
Now, Outline mode is GPU enabled. Viewing artwork in GPU Outline mode renders smoother paths and reduces time spent redrawing complex artwork on high-density displays

License Stock:

You can now search for an image in the Gallery panel and find the copyrighted image. Select the image and do the following:
In Libary -> Search Adobe Stock: enter the search string for the image.
In the search results, find the image you want to download and download it to your computer.

Southeast Asia regional language support:

Illustrator now includes support for five new Southeast Asian languages. Supported languages: Thai, Burmese, Lao, Sinhalese and Khmer
