Today, let’s discuss these different Windows 11 conspiracy theories.
Scenario 1: Microsoft self-leaks Windows 11 for Marketing
Remember the case where an employee forgot his iPhone 5 at the Bar, even though the iPhone was not manufactured yet? Some users believe that it was Microsoft who leaked or helped the build spread on the internet. It did so to create a viral effect around the upcoming version of Windows.
On Twitter, there are also some tech experts who put this theory on after a leaked Windows 11 build.
However, it was Microsoft that filed the DMCA complaint asking the Windows 11 ISO file sharing site must be removed. This shows that the company is not behind the Windows 11 leak. The fact that Microsoft leaked the build then filed a DMCA complaint with Google is very contradictory. Maybe this hypothesis is not very appropriate.
Scenario 2: Some Microsoft partners leaked
Most leaks, whether hardware or software, are done through channels outside the company. Many Windows experts and enthusiasts believe that Microsoft was not the force behind the leak, and we think the same way.
According to experts, the leak is most likely coming from a Microsoft partner, OEM, or someone from a third-party organization that has access to the build.
For example, laptop manufacturers that come with Windows pre-installed, they will have Windows 11 version sooner than end users. Therefore, this is one of the sources that have access to Windows 11, causing the Windows 11 version to leak.
Scenario 3: Microsoft leaked a fake version of the next Windows to confuse us
If you remember, Microsoft intentionally leaked a fake version of Windows XP with a shell Watercolor similar to Windows 2000. Then Windows XP really came out with a completely different interface experience.
It is thought that the leaked build of Windows 11 could be a similar attempt to hide the “real pie being baked”. However, the Windows XP episode was almost 20 years ago; Since then, Microsoft has grown tremendously in size and structure, being considered more successful. So this theory doesn’t seem very believable.
Scenario 4: Someone modified Windows 10 to Windows 11
Although very unlikely, there are also rumors that some Mod Windows enthusiasts, have modified Windows 10 into Windows 11, and added some features and interfaces to make users more interested.
On a side note, analysts have found that the leaked build has a version number that follows the Windows 10 sequence. However, that doesn’t prove anything concrete because of common practice. in software development is to use the existing code base and versioning sequence for subsequent releases and upgrades.
This could still be Windows 11
However, there are many indications that the leaked build is actually Windows 11 or at least not a fake one.
You’ll see a centered Taskabar, rounded corners of windows, and other visual changes. Alternatively, you can install or upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11, which reduces the chance of being tampered with.
Furthermore, after detecting Microsoft’s DMCA, we can at least confirm the existence of Windows 11, although, we don’t know who leaked it. Even if the action was staged by Microsoft, it would take a lot of time, effort and money to create the new user interfaces we are seeing.
What could really happen is that Microsoft may have a lot more to offer at tonight’s Windows event. Maybe what we’re seeing is a near-finished version of Windows 11.
