Crypter is free software used to hide viruses, RATs or any Keyloggers from anti-virus software so that they are not detected and removed by anti-virus software. Therefore, Crypter is a tool that allows users to encrypt the program’s source code. In general, anti-virus works by splitting the source code of the application and then looking for certain strings in the source code. If Antivirus detects any certain malicious strings, it will stop scanning or delete files like viruses from the system.

Crypter simply assigns a hidden value to each individual code in the source code. As a result, the source code becomes hidden. So, when someone sends a trojan that has been encrypted by Crypter and passes anti-virus detection and their purpose is accomplished without any hindrance from anti-virus. Crypter not only hides the source code, but it also decompresses the encryption once the program is executed.
