List GPU Expected to be hot in 2023:
AMD Radeon RX 6600 or Radeon 6650 XT
For $200 or less, there aren’t many GPU options and there are a few good models. An example is Radeon 6500 XTlaunched in January 2022 with the 4GB model was said to cost $200, but due to supply and demand issues has started to cost close to $300 or more.
These days it might cost $160 and sometimes less, but in reality, this GPU really belongs in the sub-$100 segment. That’s because for an extra $60 you can buy CHEAPadeon RX 6600 and even though that’s ~40% more price, the 6600 is on average 80% faster at 1080p.
Radeon RX 6600 also supports video encoding, more than two monitor outputs, twice the PCIe bandwidth, and can produce over 60 fps in modern AAA titles using reasonable quality settings at 1080p. So for around $200, the Radeon RX 6600 is your most worthwhile graphics card option.
If you can push your budget closer to $300, Radeon 6650 XT Also a great option, add 20% more than the standard model and you will get 20% more performance.
There’s no GeForce alternative worth considering at this price point. RTX 3050 still costs at least $260, value it close to 6650 XTthis is a problem when RX 6600 better 3050which delivers 20% higher average performance while lower costs.
Main GPU: $400
GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6750 XT
For those of you with around $400 to spend on a graphics card, Nvidia is the edge. In this price range, the best options include GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and Radeon RX 6700 XT and 6750 XT.
Radeon 6750 XT ~5% faster than 6700 XT, so if the price is similar, you can also choose the newer model. Present, 6750 XT usually ~10% more expensive at launch, so choose 6700 XT better still, then you can overclock it and get the performance 6750 XT free of charge.
Besides, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti can cost a little more than 400$, similar to 6750 XT about the price, but it’s 15% more expensive than 6700 XT and ~ 5% slower on average. With the RTX 3060 is that if you spend 10% more on the 6700 XT, you will get about 35% more performance.
In other words, RTX 3060 Ti is the GeForce product you should buy in the price range. Nvidia’s advantage over AMD at these lower performance levels is very limited.
Mid-range segment: $600
Radeon RX 6800 XT
The $500 to $800 price range is a tough one at the moment. The release GeForce RTX 4070 Ti coming soon and this new GPU could disrupt the segment if it costs close to $800, potentially bringing down the price of all older models
As of writing, retailers list many 6800 XT for $540 to $550, some retailers no longer sell the 6800 XT.
While, GeForce RTX 3070 Prices start at nearly $600. In the future, maybe the RTX 3070 will be near $ 400. The same applies to the RTX 3070 Ti, which has an asking price of $700.
Similar to RTX 3080 – it’s overpriced, so basically the only GeForce 30 series GPUs worth investing in at the moment are 3060 Ti.
High-end segment over $1000
GeForce RTX 4080 vs Radeon RX 7900 XTX
Speaking of next-gen GPUs, if you’re willing to spend $1,000 here are your options: Radeon RX 7900 XT for $900, Radeon RX 7900 XTX at $1,000, which would be a pretty good price, and the GeForce RTX 4080 at $1,200 but usually closer to $1,300.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090
GeForce RTX 4090 at $1,600, it’s insanely expensive, but pricing markets and Nvidia have calculated that gamers are willing to pay that and more for top performance, so here we are. …Currently, there is not a single RTX 4090 to be found at most retailers, with most stores displaying a number of different makes and models and none in stock – not even The Asus ROG Strix sells for $2,000.
By default, the RTX 4090 wins the ultimate high-end GPU category. With no competition from AMD, it offers ~25% more performance than the 7900 XTX and although it can be 60% more expensive.
