Crack Gmail Password Using Backtrack 5

Step 1: Open Bruite force Hydra-gtk program in Backtrack

Backtrack -> privilege Escalation -> Password Attacks -> Online Attacks -> Hydra-gtk.

Step 2: Configure for Email

Single target: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Protocol: smtp
Select: Use SSL, show attempts and be verbose

Here is the configuration for some other mail services

Yahoo Mail:
Single target: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465

Yahoo mail plus:
Single target: plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Port: 465

Hotmail
Single target: smtp.live.com
Port: 587

Step 3: Enter email (or email list) and password dictionary to Bruite Force.

Username: Email address need Bruite
Password list: File list of passwords that need to be Bruite
Select: Try login as password

Step 4: Perform Bruite Force

Switch to the start bar and click the start button to bruite force the password
