How does AirTag work?
AirTag was created based on the lines of Tile, another popular tracking device. These Apple trackers use Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) technology to show themselves to iPhones and other nearby Apple devices.
AirTag is powered by Apple’s U1 chip, which makes it easier to use by enabling a feature called Exact search. The U1 chip improves tracking accuracy for AirTag when trying to find items in close proximity to your phone. Can I use airtag to follow others?
Yes of course. With its compact size, the battery lasts all year, connects itself and sends a signal when an Apple device is nearby. A bad guy can drop your AirTag and backpack to track your location, however this is illegal.
But Apple has thought about this in advance and implemented a fail-safe method. If your iPhone detects that an unknown AirTag is tracking you, it will put up a notification on your screen. You can then find that AirTag and disable it by removing the battery.
AirTag lost, can someone else use it?
No. If your AirTag is lost somewhere and someone else is holding your AirTag, they have 2 options: return it or make a paperweight.
When you set up your AirTag, it’s tied to your Apple ID. No one can use it unless you factory reset the AirTag.
Does Apple AirTag work with Android?
No, but there’s a chance. If you have an NFC-enabled Android device and you find an AirTag somewhere, you can tap your Android device with the Airtag. The AirTag owner’s contact information will then show up on the phone.
You cannot use an Android device to set up a new AirTag or edit settings.
What is the price of AirTag?
Currently, Apple is selling a single AirTag for $29 and a set of four for $99. You should choose Pack of 4 which is more profitable if you want to buy AirTag for your family, save 17$. As with other Apple products, you can get your name engraved for free when you purchase an AirTag from Apple, helping you to distinguish AirTags from one another.
