Hello friends. Welcome back to basic Excel for beginners. And today, I will teach everyone about percentages in Excel

Entering Percentages in Excel

Step 1: Enter a decimal in the box

Step 2: In the Home section, select the % icon

Result

Calculate percent

Step 1: Enter the calculation below

Step 2: In the Home section, select the % icon

Result

If you want to increase the number of decimal places, Find the following symbol

Result

Increase in percentage

Step 1: Enter the number in cell A1. Enter 0.2 and convert to percentage

Step 2: Use the following calculation to +20%

For minus 20%, we do as below

Calculate the difference in percent

Step 1: Enter 2 numbers in cells A1 and B1

Step 2: Write the following calculation =(B1-A1)/A1 in cell C1

Step 3: In the Home section, select the % icon

Result
