Aesthetics on One UI 3.0
Samsung redesigned the interface to make it look minimalistic yet stylish. The new One UI interface has been designed to improve user focus and provide easy customizations based on user needs.
Lock screen widgets now provide quick access to basic functions and information, including controlling the media player and checking your schedule for the day. Moreover, users can also reduce the opacity of home screen widgets to enjoy their wallpapers.
The new Android interface allows to reorganize shortcuts to quickly answer calls, access apps, and open websites with a single tap.
Separate profile
Samsung has designed separate work and personal profiles for every user so that they can have different shortcut arrangements based on their needs. For example, if a user wants their work contacts in the share sheet while at the office, and they can choose to have the contacts replaced with friends and family when they leave the office. Dark mode can also be accessed faster.
Camera
With a new user interface, the camera app leverages AI intelligence to improve image quality when zoomed in, and edited photos in the gallery can be reverted to their original state. Furthermore, the image gallery will suggest images, like Google Photosto make a trip back in memory, like this day last year you took some pictures.
Additionally, Samsung has slightly tweaked its wellness apps to help users identify their bad habits by showing weekly changes.
The update will begin rolling out to S20 users in the US, South Korea, and most of Europe later today, and will expand to other regions soon.
