Google Chrome 83 is the latest and biggest update from Google since last year. Can be called one of the biggest updates for Chrome, with the arrival of new features. The new Google Chrome 83 is packed with a lot of security features and user interface improvements. The sudden burst of features in this one update is due to Chrome 82 being canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic.

In this update, Google brings comfort to users by grouping tabs and extensions and enhancing data security for users with safety checking features. Here are the latest features of Chrome 83 browser:
Group Tabs into a Group
The new Tab Groups feature won’t free up Chrome’s RAM-hungry nature, but it will help you organize your tabs into the same topic, making things less cluttered. The Tab Groups feature in Chrome 83 allows users to group multiple tabs under one label. A user can also change the color of the tab.
Advanced Safe Browsing
Google Safe Browsing protects users from known malicious websites and downloads. Chrome has now updated its Safe Browsing feature for real-time protection.
Before visiting an unpopular website or downloading a file, Google shares additional information with Safe Browser to check for malicious activity. The catch is that you will be sending informative browsing data to Google Chrome.
You will find the option Advanced Safe Browsing in section Privacy and security settings in Chrome.
Block third-party cookies
While some browsers are tracking web data in Incognito mode, others are trying to protect that data. Chrome 83 has a feature to block all third-party cookies in Incognito mode. Now you can rest assured that your data will not be tracked by Cookies of other Websites when using Chrome incognito mode.
Delete Cookies of individual Websites
A feature that was already available to Firefox users has finally arrived on Google Chrome. Users can now delete a site’s cookies instead of being forced to delete all of a site’s cookies at once.
You can rest assured that every time you delete a Cookie of this site, the cookies of another site will remain. This comes in handy when you don’t have to re-login all of the sites’ accounts every time you delete Cookies from your browser.
There is a separate Extension button on the toolbar
In Chrome version 83, the Extensions merged into a single icon on the Chrome toolbar. But, users can still pin their own favorite extensions to the toolbar.
The appearance of the Extension icon helps to group the Extensions installed in Chrome, making the browser less cluttered.
Safety Check
As the name suggests, Google now does regular safety checks to see if everything is ok. The new Chrome feature checks that the browser is running the latest update, passwords are not compromised, safe browsing is enabled, and the user is not running any malicious extensions.
Now bajnc can be more secure when using Chrome, because it is fully protected by Google before browsing the Website. To access this feature, go to the following link: chrome://settings/privacy
DNS-over-HTTPS
Despite the controversy, Google finally included the DNS-over-HTTPS protocol. For those who don’t know, the protocol encrypts DNS queries. That is, instead of before, DNS queries will be sent as Plain Text, now the query data will be encrypted with HTTPS protocol for more security.
Users will find protocol settings in Advanced settings of the browser.
The 7 new features that AnonyViet mentioned about Chrome 83 are just a small part of the new features of the update. The latest Chrome update will appear with a lot of features such as Chrome will block Download files of unsafe files such as exe, bat, apk … even when Downloading from HTTPS.
