Currently, WiFi transmitters like Connectify and MyPublicWiFi work great on Win XP and Win 7, but it will slow down your computer a bit. So this article will share with you how to play WiFi on Windows 8 directly without using software.
It won’t be as convenient as using professional software, but anyway these ways help you be more proactive, and moreover it’s very easy to do.
Instructions to play WiFi with Windows 10, Win 7, Win 8 laptops
Step 1: With Win 8 you right-click in the lower left corner of the screen and select Command Prompt (Admin).
For Win 7, you press the Start button and then search for the word “cmd”. Run the file “cmd.exe” by right-clicking and selecting Run as Administrator.

Step 2: Next, in the Command Prompt, enter the command below to create a Hosted Network and then press Enter:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=wifi-win8 key=12345678
Note: wifi-win8 is the hosted name which can be replaced with another name of your liking, 12345678 is the password of your choice, minimum 8 characters.

Step 3: 1 hosted successfully. You continue to enter the command line below to broadcast WiFi and then press Enter:
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Step 4: Next is to share the Internet connection for the newly created WiFi network. You right-click on the network icon at the bottom of the taskbar, in the right corner, next to the speaker image => select Open Network and Sharing Center => select Change adapter settings. You will see an additional virtual wireless network in Network Connections.
Step 5: Right click on the network being used to access the Internet (here using Mobifone’s 3G) => select Properties.

Step 6: In the Sharing tab, check the box Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection and below Home networking connectionselect the newly created network name (here is Local Area Connection* 12) and then click OK (this is only installed once for the first time)
Step 7: It is done. You have successfully broadcast a Hosted Network. To check the newly created network information, enter the command below into the Command Prompt and then press Enter:
netsh wlan show hostednetwork

Step 8: To turn off WiFi, enter the command line: netsh wlan stop hostednetwork.
Note when you want to turn it back on, you just need to re-enter the command: netsh wlan start hostednetwork.
Step 9: To cancel a created WiFi network, enter Command Prompt:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow ssid=wifi-win8 key=12345678
Once the network has been canceled, to re-establish the WiFi connection, you need to repeat from step 1 to step 7.
Advanced step: Pre-made command files
Open the Notepad editor, copy each command line and save it with each “.cmd” file separately such as: Create.cmd (create), Start.cmd (Play), Stop.cmd (Off) and Delete.cmd (Cancel). cancel). Note that when copying the command into Notepad, you must also press Enter and then Save, when Save As remember to select All Files in the dialog box below the file name.
After this, every time you need to perform any action, you just need to run the equivalent file under Admin.

Step 3: Select Set up a wireless ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network => Click Next 2 times.

Step 4: Set network name, select network type as WEP, set password, check Save this network => click Next.

Step 5: Initial network setup is done. Press Close.

Step 6: Next, you create an Internet connection for the newly created wireless network. Go to Control Panel, select Change adapter settings.

Last step: Hold Ctrl and select both Local Area Network and Wireless Network Center => right click and press Add to Bridge.
