On February 8, Hieu PC officially launched the extension (extension) Chongluadao is dedicated to protecting users from fake, dangerous websites that contain malware and bad content.

Are known Chongluadaolà a community, non-profit project launched by HieuPC and some others from January 5 in a Cafe session. Thought it was just a small cafe between community lovers, but it was a fateful meeting that decided HieuPC’s first project for the Chongluadao.vn community.

How chongluadao works

Utilities chongluadao will warn you every time you visit websites that are deceptive, fake, or harmful to you. Chongluadao There will be 3 levels of warnings for the websites you visit. These alert levels are based on user reviews of those websites. So you can be completely assured of the credibility of chongluadao.

The safety of the website is determined by an algorithm combined with user reviews and artificial intelligence. So, you don’t have to worry about being the first to access a malicious website that has not been rated or has many false reviews. In general, I see that the development team also knows the disadvantages of how it works based on user reviews, so it should be accompanied by an algorithm to decide the safety of the Website.

Feature

1. Show safety level: The extension will display the security level of the website in the browser’s additional toolbar. With 3 levels: Gray (Careful), Green (Safe), Red (Danger).
2. Warning screen: If you visit a malicious website, you will be prompted by the chongludao utility to display a warning screen in your browser and give you two options. One is to continue visiting the site, the other is to come back safely.
3. Anti-phishing: The utility will warn and detect websites with phishing purposes, containing links or malware before you click on them.
4. Check Links: Chongluadao will check the safety of the link (shortened), before you visit.
5. Web Blocking: The extension will block sites with a low level of security as judged by the community or the algorithm. You can also grow this community by reporting dangerous, fraudulent, fake websites on the Chongluadao widget.

6. Real-time protection: Chongluadao will provide you with 2 operating modes: Real-time protection and manual mode. I recommend using real-time protection because you can safely surf the web without worrying about threats like phishing or malicious content.
7. Content control: Block websites with content that is not healthy for children and protect your children from fraudulent websites.
8. Evaluation report: You can self-assess the safety and security of a website based on your experience and experience on the Chongluadao utility.
9. Free Security: Since this is a non-profit project, this add-on is completely free and will be in the future as well. This is just the beginning of the project, so later on, the development team will provide more updates, features, as well as improved security levels.

Access rights

I’m sure many of you are interested in whether this utility sells or steals data on your browser, right? You guys worry too much, how can a security and anti-fraud project of Vietnam do such things. The Chongluadao side, has already confirmed, they will have access to the following rights: Tabs, wide servers, Context Menus, Web Navigation, Web Requests, Web Request Blocking and Memory.

Download the Chongluadao extension on Chrome

Currently, the Chongluadao utility only works smoothly on Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Coc Coc, Brave, Kiwi Browser browsers. Since you are submitting a review application to the Utilities of the above browsers, you can currently only download and install it manually.

Step 1: You Download the Chongluadao utility.

Step 2: Go to Chrome -> select Vertical 3-dot menu in the upper right corner -> Other tools -> Extensions -> turn on mode Developer mode in Exension.

Step 3: Unzip the downloaded utility file.

Step 4: Return to the Extension tab, and press Load unpacked.

Step 5: Browse to the chongluadao folder and press Select Folder.

So you have successfully installed chongluadao into Chrome already.

How to evaluate Chongludao Website – Anti-phishing

When you visit a website, chongluadao will display how secure that website is. You can also report and rate that website by clicking on the chongluadao icon and then pressing Report.

The report is based on the number of stars that users decide to rate that website. After the evaluation is complete, you press the . button About the main page to return to the home page of the widget.

Because it is still in the censorship period to post on the browser’s utility store, for now, you can download and install it manually. It is planned that soon, you will be downloaded directly on the browser’s utility Store.

According to AnonyViet’s assessment, this is a great project serving the community that is very relevant in the current era. The utility will solve the problem that many Vietnamese users care about security and safety when online.
