Like any other system, these social networks also have security holes. These problems may originate from technical errors or from the user's own usage habits. Many related incidents have come to light in the media, making users even more worried.

This is worrying for everyone, but especially since children and teenagers, who are vulnerable to cyberattacks, make up a large proportion of users. Luckily, with just a few simple measures like downloading Phone monitoring software or remote monitoring and parental control apps, you can protect your account, your identity, and your child's as well.

Set limits when using social networks

A report from UNICEF suggests that “a little time on social media really does help” and can benefit children's social relationships. This is even more likely to happen in the context where we are currently facing the COVID-19 pandemic. It allows us to stay in touch with family and friends around the world and keep up to date with global events.

However, with the average teenager spending around nine hours a day on screens – how much is too much screen time? A general guideline is about two to three hours maximum. Furthermore, social media can contribute to feelings of anxiety and unhappiness, according to a report from Monitoring the Future.

Monitor your child's behavior

As mentioned above, there are many apps that you can use to monitor what your children are doing on different social media platforms. This is one way to ensure that they are not lured by predators, who are particularly good at deceiving children and teenagers into thinking they are someone else. This will also help you recognize if cyberbullying or other unwanted behavior is occurring.

Discuss privacy settings with your child

On many social networks, privacy settings can be so complex that even tech-savvy adults have difficulty, let alone children. However, it is important that you research and test everything. The less information exposed to strangers, the better. Discuss with your children what information they share on social media and encourage them not to share images that reveal where they go to school or where they live.

Unfortunately, children and teenagers have a way of circumventing social media use and can get into trouble, but by applying these tips you can minimize this risk and keep them safe. children longer.

Conclude

If you are wondering, “how do I monitor my child's Internet activity remotely,” there are a few things to consider. Discuss social network security measures with your children. Set a time limit if necessary. Consider parental control apps if you want to know what your kids are doing online. By following our suggestions, you will worry less about your children being in danger online.

Discord, an online voice and text chat platform, allows you to communicate with other gamers. Anyone can create a server on Discord to discuss any topic they want. There are several benefits to hiding your gaming activity on Discord:

Privacy

Hiding your gaming activity gives you control over what information you share. If you don't want others to know what games you're playing, or where you are in the game, this is a good solution.

If you use a Microsoft HealthVault device or a Microsoft Band, all your activity will be collected through that service and it will also be stored. Microsoft says it collects this data to provide you with more relevant results and useful content for your search needs.

How to delete activity history on Windows 10

You can see what data Microsoft stores and how to delete it. There are two ways you can delete your recent activity on Windows 10:

From Settings

From a Microsoft cloud account.

To do it on your computer, click the . button Settings on the Start menu.

Then press Privacy.

In the menu on the left, select Activity History.

This will completely delete the activity history of the currently used account.

How to turn off activity tracking in Windows 10 timeline

Back in 2018, Microsoft added the feature Timeline track all your recent activities on Windows 10. You can view Timeline by pressing the key combination ALT + WindowS. You’ll see all currently open windows, as well as all the files you’ve opened so far.

To disable this feature, visit the page Activity History as you did above. From here, uncheck Store my activity history on this device. This prevents Windows from remembering what you’ve accessed, done on Timeline mine.

Then uncheck Send my activity history to Microsoft to prevent your data from being sent to Microsoft servers. Now that both settings are unchecked, your activities will not be tracked in the future.

How to see all activity history on Windows 10

If you want to see all activity history on Windows 10, you can do it on Microsoft account security site. When you visit the site and log in, you’ll see a bunch of categories. Each category will take you to a page that shows all the information Microsoft has stored about you.

There’s a lot to learn on this page, but here’s a brief summary of the categories you should check out.

Activity history categories on Windows 10

Browsing history process the data you have stored through Microsoft’s Edge browser. As such, if you only use Edge to download Firefox or Chrome, there probably won’t be much data there. If Edge is your primary browser, see what data is stored here.

Search History only useful if you use Bing. When you use a search engine like Google, they tend to “Remember” what you searched for to improve your experience. Microsoft uses your search data to better tailor search results, and improves Cortana for future search results and suggestions.

Location Activity including times you’ve allowed your Windows device to access your location. You should double check this to see if Windows is storing your location.

Speech Activity should come first if you’ve used Cortana before. Here you’ll find audio files saved when you voice search with Cortana, which is used by Microsoft for better speech recognition.

Media Activity is where Microsoft keeps track of what you like to see to add to your recommendations. If you’re getting weird recommendations because of something other people have seen, you should check back.

Apps and services including how you use Microsoft products. This list is divided into two parts; Activity for the actions you have taken and performance for system log.

You can also click the tab Activity History to see a complete list of all data such as: voice, search, browsing history and location information. Microsoft also makes it easy to filter by category by clicking on it.

Keep your data safe in Windows 10/11

Windows 10 won’t protect your privacy by default, but you can monitor your data and adjust your privacy settings to suit your needs.

Now that your data in Windows 10 is secure, it’s time to ensure that all programs and settings on your PC are equally stable. There are many things you can do to improve the security of your computer, such as uninstalling Flash and creating a restore point.

The script will output a formatted copy of all the commands you have run. It works by going to a sub-shell that records everything you do. The session will be saved as plain text when you exit the shell. This makes Script more reliable than redirected input streams.

Basic usage

Load Script command

The script command can be run without any parameters:

script

A new recording session will begin. Your terminal recording session will be saved to ./typescript. You can specify a different file by giving the script another parameter:

script example_session

Use the shell to execute the sequence of commands you want to record (return). When done, press Ctrl + D or type exit to exit the sub-shell. You will be back in your main shell session.

Now you can check the generated session log:

cat example_session

You’ll see your command interspersed with comments in square brackets. These comments are used by the script to record details about the terminal itself and the events occurring within it.

Since log files are plain text, you are free to modify them in a text editor.

This will be very useful if your session accidentally exposes sensitive information or you want to remove extraneous characters from the log. The script logs everything that happens in your terminal, including backspace keys, newlines, and control characters, some of which may not be necessary.

Add to an existing file

You can add other parameters to “pause” and “resume” command dialing by exiting the sub-shell and starting a new session.

Add the -a parameter to append commands to the specified file. The script will overwrite the contents of the file without this parameter.

script -a example_session

Add time data

Run the script with the -t parameter to specify a path to save the time. Time files are in a two-column format of data. Each entry contains the elapsed time since the last record in the first column. The second column records the number of characters that have been entered, allowing for accurate input speed playback.

script -q -t example_session_timings example_session

Terminal session playback

The scriptreplay command reads the output script’s data to your terminal. Timing data will be used to match each entered character. As if you will see the terminal enter commands automatically, which are recorded by the script.

scriptreplay -t example_session_timings example_session

Some recordings may have a lag that is not what you want or run at a very slow speed. Use the -d parameter to speed up the output.

# Chạy nhanh hơn 4 lần
scriptreplay -d 4 -t timings typescript

You can also use the -m parameter to limit the maximum delay. The next command will be entered up to 2 seconds.

# Độ trễ tối đa 2 giây
scriptreplay -m 2 -t timings typescript

Use with interactive commands

You should not use scripts with highly interactive commands. Script is focused on capturing text-based output, not commands that control your terminal. The script is not suitable for use with non-interactive shells.

Other choices

The -c parameter to the script allows you to specify a command. When this mode is used, the script runs the command and logs its output, instead of creating a new shell. This can be more efficient in capturing output data.

The -f parameter instructs the script to write directly to the session log after each event. This improves safety by ensuring output is recorded immediately.

The script’s manual page also states that this parameter can also be used to monitor the user’s terminal in real time.

Scripts generally do not accept a symlink as a path. The –force parameter allows to overcome the above situation.

summary

script allows you to record your Terminal commands into plain text files with exact time each command. You can check, share and replay them in your terminal using scriptreplay.

For best results, run the scriptreplay command in the same Terminal session that you used with the script.
